To get you properly prepared for your expedition out West, we’ve assembled a list of essentials plus insider tips on making the most of your visit.

The folks who stay here prefer to create their own family adventures-using our lodge as their home base for authentic Western adventures. So bring a sense of adventure! We also want you to be prepared for taking breathtaking photos, enjoying every second of your stay and being prepared since we are off the beaten path.

What To Bring

We offer a large kitchen that is available for guests to use throughout the day. Be sure to bring your own provisions; we supply all the culinary equipment you will need.

What To Pack

We recommend dressing in layers and dressing for your adventures. Whether your day excursion involves fishing and a hike or a drive over the Beartooth Pass, you could experience a 20 degree difference during the day depending on elevation. Pay attention to the weather map and you can always peel back the layers as your adventure continues.


How to Get Here

From Billings:

  • Take I-90 West
  • Exit 434 & take ramp towards Hwy 212/US 310 toward Laurel/Red Lodge
  • Take a left towards Red Lodge
  • At Rockvale, take a left on US 310
  • After Bridger, take a right on to MT-72
  • After approximately 19miles,take a right onto Chance Road
  • Take another right on Robertson Draw Road (gravel road) and watch for the signs.

From Cody:

  • Head North on Hwy 120 (after 37 miles the road changes to MT-72)
  • Turn left onto Chance Road
  • Turn right on Robertson Draw Road (gravel road) and watch for the signs.

From Red Lodge:

  • Head south on MT 308
  • Take a right on MT 72
  • Take a right onto Chance Road
  • Take another right on Robertson Draw Road (gravel road) and watch for the signs.
